The Way to the Stars

In 1940, Flying Officer Peter Penrose is attached to an RAF unit straight out off flight training and a grand total of 15 hours in the air. The movie revolves around an uprising on board the Battleship Potemkin (Bronenoset Potemkin) in 1905. Conditions on the s! hip are unbearable, which in turn incites revolutionary fervor among the sailors, most notably within the character of Vakulinchik. After the ship's doctor declares rancid meat safe to eat, the sailors buy provisions at the canteen in a show of protest. The Admiral then orders all those who ate the borsch made with the meat to step under the cannons in a show of loyalty. Those who do not are covered under a tarp and ordered shot. Vakulinchik then implores his shipmates to rise up against those who oppress them, namely the officers of the ship. All the officers are killed and the ship is liberated. During the uprising, Vakulinchik dies. His body his placed on the docks in the Odessa harbor as a symbol of the revolution. The citizens of Odessa rally around his body and join the Potemkin in their revolt. Cossaks then come, in one of the most famous scenes of the film, and slaughter the helpless citizens on the steps leading to the harbor, effectively ending the revolt in Odess! a. He heads to Wyoming, but on the way he sees a car accident and saves the driver Herman Finch, who owns the Deepwater Hotel. While spending the night in the hotel, Nat is arrested by the police, but Finch releases him from jail and proposes to Nat to paint his hotel. In return, he gives an old blue Chrysler Newport to Nat, and lodges and feeds him in the hotel. W! hile painting the hotel, Nat becomes obsessed with Finch's wife, Iris, and discovers that Finch is a loan shark and corrupt. Furthermore, he hatches a scheme involving a car dealer (Walnut) and his partner, the Indian Joe Littlefeet in the local casino. After the mysterious death of a local and a policeman that had issues with Finch, Nat decides to leave Deepwater; but Iris seduces him and convinces Nat to leave after a box match promoted by Finch (so he can steal a large amount from the safe). The citizens of sleepy small town Fate, TX gather for the grand opening of Consumart, a shiny new one-stop-shopping box store. The eager consumers gleefully pour into the store as the doors open at sundown. Why is the grand opening at sundown? Who cares, they've got cut-rate prices on plasma screens and baby clothes! DVDs! Mayonnaise! Coffins! Coffins? And before they have to time to really question this item, terror ensues and the store erupts ! into a bloodbath. A few weeks later, three oblivious, self-absorbed twenty somethings - CARRIE, SAM, and BONE - head out on a road trip to Mr. Fire (a festival which shares only minor non-litigious similarities, all of a purely coincidental nature, to Burning Man) and accidentally wander into Fate, unaware of its population's ill-fated transformation... into vampires. Being that the heroes are 20-somethings, they do it. Carrie, a shallow hothead, is dating Sam's wallet, er, Sam, who is a whiny, naive, hypochondriac rich boy. Bone, a callous hard-ass with a venomous way of speech, is still nursing a desire for Carrie predicated upon a drunken, frivolous one night stand. After a run-in with two blood-thirsty convenience store clerks in which Sam is repeatedly bitten and attacked and Bone is forced to slaughter them, our protagonists begin it wonder if something strange might be going on in the town. Luckily, but only in the sense that they didn't get murdered, the three stumb! le upon the only surviving humans in town: BYRON VON JONES, a ! trigger- happy, conspiracy theorist militia member; LYNETTE VON JONES, a haggard, trailer park slut and the only surviving wife out of Byron's harem; and ROY JACKSON (Chris Gardner), a cowardly, lying frat boy in his early 20s. The group bands together and takes shelter in Roy's ranch house, surrounded by hundreds of vampires intending to torch the property before sunrise, so they don't have to go home and try again the next day. Will our heroes escape death and transformation? Will Bone win over Carrie's dubious and indifferent heart? Does he even really care? And will the nefarious corporate franchise relevance to the plot ever be explained? Written by blareruin

Miss Marple suspects that someone "frightened him to death" intentionally by a cat, but she cannot interest Inspector Craddock in her theory. Miss Marple investigates the sudden death of old Mr. Enderby who died of a heart attack but was literally frightened to death by a cat. The man's fear of felines was well-known and Miss Marple is convinced that his deadly encounter was planned, making his death murder. Unable to convince Inspector Craddock that a crime has taken place, she decides to investigate herself. With the assistance of Mr.! Stringer, she focuses on the four relatives who inherit Ender! by's for tune and gathers every bit of gossip that she can about them. When one of the four if found dead, she heads off to the Gallop Hotel, owned by old Enderby's nephew Hector Enderby and where the remaining guests are staying.
